Product Description

The Chonos Ultra Down Jacket is equipped with a broad range of lightweight features that furnish it with immense functionality without adding undue weight. These include a tailored 'active mountain' fit, a fully adjustable helmet compatible hood that can be easily stowed away and two deep A-line hand-warmer pockets. Constructed from a PERTEX® Quantum Y Yarn that provides enhanced insulation and tensile strength, the jacket also features a 100DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment that suffuses it with an excellent water shedding ability. A PERTEX® Quantum Rip-stop lining has been used throughout to ensure it remains lightweight and robust, whilst technical tailoring accommodates a full range of motion that doesn't compromise the jacket's fit or coverage. Articulated arms with engineered tailoring serve a similar purpose by preventing the seams from constricting the elbows and biceps. 250g of 90/10 high quality goose down at 800+ fill power and a full boxwall construction provide superior heat retention and eliminate cold spots. A fully adjustable, climbing helmet compatible mountain hood - lined with a PERTEX® Quantum Y Yarn - yields additional water repellency whilst a stiffened visor with a foam insert and wire lip provides an adjustable, bespoke fit. The inclusion of an internal elastic loop and hook on the rear compression drawcord allows the hood to be rolled down and stowed away when not in use. Pockets are designed with deep A-line hand warmers and are constructed with U-Shaped pull zips for use with gloves or mittens. A full length reverse and baffled two way YKK front zip allow for ease of use with a backpack or climbing harness. The adjustable lower hem sits comfortably against the body and prevents weather entry and heat loss. MONTANE® 'penny cordlocks' on the lower hem sides provide streamlined comfort for a climbing or rucksack harness.
